We are the Google

A group in Durham wants to help snag one of Google’s ultra high-speed internet pilot projects, so they’re staging an event next week at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park to publicize local support. The plan? Have hundreds of people spell out the words “We want Google” on the field.

If you want to take part, just show up at DBAP at 11 a.m. Thursday March 18 wearing one of the following colors: black, blue, green, red, or yellow. Organizers will arrange participants on the field to spell out “We want” in black, and “Google” in its trademark colors. Aerial photos will be taken starting about 12:15.

Can’t make it on March 18?
