Hidden Voices, in conjunction with the Pauli Murray Project, is creating a two-woman play based on the life of activist and writer Pauli Murray. Auditions will be held Monday August 9, Center for Dramatic Arts, UNC Campus, Chapel Hill. All ethnicities and ages (adults) welcome. You will need a headshot, resumé, and a short prepared monologue. There will also be readings from original material.
Needed: inventive and flexible actors; the ability to transform from one character to another is essential. The show opens in Durham as part of the celebration of Pauli Murray’s 100th birthday. Some rehearsals, as well as possible school shows, will occur during the day. The stipend for 10 shows is $2000.
Also needed: an assistant director/PSM to work during rehearsals and then travel with the show. Same package stipend.
To schedule an audition, please contact Lynden Harris, Director of Hidden Voices, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 919.732.9299.
