One Noble Journey – Mike Wiley’s reprises his one-man show, telling true stories of people who escaped from slavery in 19th Century America. One night only: Friday 8:00. Temple Theatre, Sanford.

The Piano Lesson – An old piano causes family conflict in August Wilson’s 1987 drama. This weekend: Friday and Saturday 8:00, Sunday 3:00. Continues through October 24. Raleigh Little Theatre, Raleigh.

Six Degrees of Separation – A young man cons an upper class New York couple in John Guare’s 1990 play, presented by Ghost & Spice Productions. This weekend: Friday and Saturday 8:00. Continues through October 23. Common Ground Theatre, Durham.
