Durham’s Third Friday downtown art walk returns this weekend, with its usual eclectic selection, including:
• Three Times Outside – Durham Cinematheque moves to Golden Belt for another quirky film program, this time utilizing multiple projectors, to be presented three times, outside, on a special “screen”. The program includes films by Durham Cinemtheque curator, Tom Whiteside as well as archival selections that include, among other things, a portion of a 1916 Charlie Chaplin comedy and underwater visions. Showings at 7:15, 7:55, and 8:30pm. Admission is free, contributions will be accepted.
• People You May Know, an exhibition of contemporary portraits, curated by Barclay McConnell, on display at the Durham Arts Council, 120 Morris Street. Free open to the public artists’ reception , 5-7 PM.
• Equilibrium: Photographs by Jon Kolkin at Through This Lens, 303 East Chapel Hill Street, 6:00-9:00.
