City of Medicine – The latest season of Transactors’ improvised serial medical drama continues, leaving a trail of deceased or healed celebrity guest stars in its wake. Friday 8:00. Common Ground Theatre, Durham.

The Collective – UNC’s LAB! Theatre presents the premiere of a play by Catya McMullen about the power of memory. This week only: Thursday-Saturday 8:00, Sunday 2:00 and 8:00. Kenan Theatre, UNC Campus, Chapel Hill.

Brighton Beach Memoirs – Neil Simon’s 1983 comedy presented by North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre. Friday and Saturday 8:00, Sunday 3:00. Closes Sunday. NRACT, Lead Mine Road, Raleigh.
