The Coarse Acting Show – “The South Hampton Institute of Theatre Players (from Roe-Upon-Toast, England)” presents an evening of four one-act plays, including Streuth and Henry the Tenth (Part Seven). Ira David Wood IV directs Michael Green’s affectionate 1978 tribute to bad theater. Presented by Theatre in the Park. This week: Friday and Saturday 7:30, Sunday 3:00. Continues through July 27. * One’s Trash; Another’s Treasure – Touring show about a real estate agent with dreams of marrying the perfect man. “A journey of denial, fear, doubt, self-discovery, self-love, then true love … possibly?”. Written and directed by LA Horton; presented by LA Horton Productions. One show only: Saturday 7:30. Garner Performing Arts Center.

Parade – Second recent local staging of Alfred Uhry and Jason Robert Brown’s 1998 musical drama about the trial of Leo Frank (following Hoof ‘n’ Horn’s April production). Presented by Theatre Raleigh. This week: Wednesday-Friday 8:00. Saturday 2:00 and 8:00. Sunday 3:00. Continues through July 27. Kennedy Theatre, DECPA, Raleigh.

Solo – An evening of solo performances and monologues, presented by Owl Tree Theater for the People. This week: Friday 8:00, Saturday 3:00 and 8:00. Additional performances July 25 and 26. The Green Monkey, Raleigh.

Ten by Ten in the Triangle – Popular annual series of short plays returns featuring 10 plays by 10 playwrights with 10 directors and an ensemble of 10 actors. Oddly, performances are not at 10:00. Presented by ArtsCenter Stage. This week: Friday and Saturday 8:00, Sunday 3:00. Continues through July 27. The ArtsCenter, Carrboro.

* No Shame Theatre – Monthly open performance venue for original, short form theater and performance. One night only: Saturday 8:00 (sign-up to perform: 7:00). The ArtsCenter, Carrboro.

Improv Percolator – New series featuring improv students from Open Mind Improv, Group Hug, and Third Date. Thursday 8:00.
Bravest Face Improv presents three groups: Diabolical FishBank, PlayDate!, and Danny Canoe. Saturday 8:00.
