Theater Week – Where Are the Snows of Yesteryear?

Sad Snowman – Cosmin Rotaru

A listing of Triangle theater performances
through January 4, 2016

The Book of Mormon – What’s that? You say you shelled out close to 300 bucks for a pair of orchestra tickets to the touring production of this blockbuster Trey Parker/Matt Stone musical last time it was in town back in 2014, but a deadly dangerous ice storm prevented you from attending and there were no refunds – and no exchanges since all shows were sold out? No problem – they’ll gladly honor your unused 2014 tickets for this tour. (Ha ha, just kidding! You’ll need to buy new ones. Not to worry, though – there’s absolutely no chance of crazy weather this time. Or as they sing in the show — ‘Hasa Diga!’.) This week: Tuesday-Thursday 7:30, Friday 8:00, Saturday 2:00 and 8:00, Sunday 1:00 and 6:30. Continues through January 10. DPAC, Durham.

Time Stands Still – South Stream Productions presents Donald Margulies’ 2009 drama about the evolving relationships of two Brooklyn couples. Directed by Andy Hayworth. This week: Friday and Saturday 7:30, Sunday 2:00. Continues through January 17. Sonorous Road Studio, 209 Oberlin Road, Raleigh.

* Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer – It’s the final two performances of Broadway Series South’s annual marathon presentation of this stage musical version of the Beloved Holiday Classic™. (And to everyone in the cast and crew who survived 39(!) performances over the last six weeks: Well done! Now go home and get some well-deserved rest. We saved you some eggnog. It’s under the tree.) This week: Tuesday 6:30, Wednesday 11:00. Closes Wednesday. Fletcher Theater, DECPA, Raleigh.

* – Concludes this week
