It’s Only a Play – Eight white people – a producer, playwright, director, assorted actors, and friends – gather at a New York apartment for the opening night party of a Broadway play they are involved in. Master Class – Theatre Raleigh presents Terrence McNally’s 1995 play in which opera diva Maria Callas teaches a class of aspiring singers and incidentally recounts the story of her life. * The Miracle Worker – Seed Art Share presents an immersive version of William Gibson’s 1959 bio-drama about Helen Keller and her teacher Anne Sullivan. Directed by Dustin Britt. Burn This – The accidental death of a young gay man forces four people who knew him to reconsider their lives. Sonorous Road Repertory Company presents the 1987 drama by (the late) Lanford Wilson. In the Heart of the Fire – In their 19th annual giant puppet performance for all ages, Paperhand Puppet Intervention presents tales of fire, of giants and trolls, of trickster creators, and how we came to be human.
