* As You Like It – Escape to the Forest of Arden in Shakespeare’s crowd-pleasing comedy. Presented by Eno River Players, director not listed. This week only: Thursday and Friday 8:00, Saturday 3:00 and 8:00. The Fruit, 305 South Dillard, Durham.

Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds – A Jamaican boy discovers the wonders of the outside world. Adapted by Michael J. Bobbitt from Cedella Marley’s story, featuring songs by Bob Marley. Directed by Deb Royals-Mizerk; presented by Raleigh Little Theatre’s Family Series. This week: Friday 7:30, Saturday and Sunday 1:00 and 5:00. Continues through March 24, plus a sensory-friendly performance on Saturday March 31. Gaddy-Goodwin Theatre, RLT, Raleigh.

Constellations – Two people experience their relationship through a prism of parallel timelines in Nick Payne’s 2012 drama. Directed by Chris Woodworth. Presented by Bartlett Theater. This week: Thursday-Saturday 7:30, Sunday 3:00. Continues through March 24. Stadium 10 Theater, Northgate Mall, Durham.

* Duty – A play by Tim Stevens about the eight Garner men killed in the Vietnam War. Presented by Show N’ Tell Ministries. One show only: Friday 7:30. Performing Arts Center, 742 West Garner Road, Garner.

LITE 2019 Presents a Festival of One-Act Plays – Eight short plays by seven playwrights. Co-sponsored by Cary Playwrights Forum under its Independent Producers Series. This week: Friday 6:30, Saturday 3:00. Senior Center, Bond Park, Cary. Continues through March 23 at various locations. 


Life of Galileo – In Bertolt Brecht’s historical drama, first performed in 1943, the 17th century scientist makes revolutionary astronomical discoveries that conflict with Roman Catholic doctrine, and the Church is not amused. Vivienne Benesch directs a reimagined adaptation by Joseph Discher. Presented by PlayMakers Rep. This week: Tuesday-Friday 7:30, Saturday 2:00. Continues through March 17. Paul Green Theatre, CDA, UNC Campus, Chapel Hill.

Timon of Athens – Bare Theatre presents a genderqueer, 1980s-set interpretation of Shakespeare’s late-career play (co-authored by Thomas Middleton), about a rich man too generous for his own good. Staged in two venues: The Wicked Witch nightclub (admission 18+ only) in an “uncut’ version, and at St. John’s MCC in “a slightly tamer version”. This week: Thursday and Saturday 8:00 at The Wicked Witch, 416 W. South Street Raleigh. Friday 7:00 at St. John’s MCC, 622 Maywood Avenue, Raleigh. Continues through March 16.
