White – Issues of race, gender, identity, and art collide in James IJames’ 2017 satirical comedy. Directed by JaMeeka Holloway-Burrell. Presented by Bulldog Ensemble Theatre. This week: Thursday 7:30, Friday and Saturday 8:00. Continues through June 9. The Fruit, 305 South Dillard Street, Durham.


The Legend of Georgia McBride – A struggling Elvis impersonator revitalizes his career when he takes on a new stage persona as a drag queen. Honest Pint Theatre presents Matthew Lopez’s 2015 comedy, directed by Susannah Hough. This week: Friday and Saturday 7:30, Sunday 2:00. Continues through June 2. Leggett Theatre, Peace University Campus, Raleigh.
