* Dead Man’s Cell Phone – A young woman finds herself in a web of complications when she answers the phone of a man who has just died. One Song Productions presents Sarah Ruhl’s mystical 2007 drama. Directed by Annie Joseph and Alan Hunt. This week only: Friday and Saturday 7:30, Sunday 3:00. The ArtsCenter, Carrboro.

* Summer: The Donna Summer Musical – Touring production of the 2017 jukebox musical. This week only: Tuesday-Thursday 7:30, Friday 8:00, Saturday 2:00 and 8:00, Sunday 1:00 and 7:00. DPAC, Durham.


* Loving – Pure Life Theatre presents Peter Manos’ drama about Richard and Mildred Loving, a Virginia couple who challenged the state’s law against interracial marriage. Directed by Deb Royals Mizerk; music direction by Ronzel Bell. This week: Friday and Saturday 8:00. Closes Saturday. Royal Bakery Building, 3801 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh.

* The Old Man and The Old Moon – When his wife unexpectedly leaves home, The Old Man who tends the Moon, heads off on a journey to find her. Theatre in the Park stages PigPen Theatre’s company-created 2014 musical fantasy. Directed by Nancy Rich. This week: Friday and Saturday 7:30, Sunday 3:00. Closes Sunday. TIP, 107 Pullen Road, Raleigh.

* Sweat – Layoffs at a factory pit a group of old friends against each other. Justice Theatre Project presents Lynn Nottage’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, directed by Jerry Sipp. This week: Friday 7:30, Saturday 2:30 and 7:30, Sunday 3:30. Closes Sunday. Umstead Park UCC, 8208 Brownleigh Drive, Raleigh.

* Seussical the Musical Jr. – Raleigh Little Theatre presents a TYA (adapted for young audiences) version of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty’s Dr. Seuss musical. Directed by Kathleen Rudolph. This week: Thursday and Friday 7:30 Saturday and Sunday 1:00 and 5:00. Closes Sunday. (Saturday 1:00 is a special sensory-friendly performance.) Sutton Theatre, RLT, Raleigh.
