* Tend To Your Own House – Black Poetry Theatre continues Flip the Script. a works-in-progress series where classic works are remixed into new pieces, integrating poetry/spoken word and music. For this iteration, the plays being sampled are all early 20th century, including works by George Bernard Shaw and Ferenc Molnar. Led by Dasan Ahanu, a group of selected community artists will work together to shape each piece of the production. Three readings of these reworked pieces will be presented followed by a talk-back, offering an opportunity for community feedback. The series will culminate with a full production built from those pieces blended into one world and one storyline. Created by Dasan Ahanu, Lee Chapman, KD Lambert, and Nakita Jay. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer: The Musical – An annual presentation, this stage musical version of the Beloved Holiday Classic™ is based on the venerable 1964 Rankin/Bass animated TV Xmas special (which vastly expanded the mythology of Johnny Marks’ 1949 hit song for Gene Autry — itself based on a 1939 Christmas promotional coloring book created by Robert L.
