* Manbites Dog Theater concludes it’s 31st and final season of producing theater this week, as it closes its Foster Street location, the company’s home for the last 20 years. Manbites will continue in a new incarnation as a support and granting organization for area theater companies and artists. Ob-la-di, ob-la-da. More about future plans here.
 

I SAY HELLO:

* OccupyCON 2018 – As part of this year’s events, Women’s Theatre Festival presents a 24-hour theatre conference, packed with staged readings, workshops, devised works, and kids’ programming. Featuring a workshop of The Illuminated Dresses – a devised theater piece by local playwright Debra Kaufman. One day only: Saturday 7:00 p.m. to Sunday 7:00 p.m., Renaissance Center, 405 Brooks Street, Wake Forest.

Parallel Lives – Women’s Theatre Festival presents Mo Gaffney and Kathy Najimy’s satirical 1989 sketch show, directed by Judy Long. This week: Friday 8:00, Saturday 2:00 and 8:00, Sunday 8:00. Continues through July 7. Burning Coal Theatre, Raleigh.
